Our Client is a reputable company incorporated under the Laws of Ghana. As an investor manager of Group of Companies, it has diversified portfolios, with subsidiary companies in construction, real estate, manufacturing and other strategic businesses. The business is looking to enhance its cadre of senior professionals.



Job Objectives


Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results



Key Responsibilities

·         Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

·         Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.

·         Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.

·         Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.

·         Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.

·         Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.

·         Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.

·         Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.

·         Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company

·         Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

·         Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

 

Key Requirements

·         MBA in Finance

·         Professional certification (ACCA, CA, CIMA)

·         10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in real estate development, property management, and/ or construction industry.

·         Experience in senior management role is preferred

·         Must have background in Management

·         Must have international work experience

·         Knowledge in real estate development

·         Ability to apply Project Management principles (PMP will be an advantage)

·         High proficiency in the use of accounting systems and advance MS suit user

·         Ability to meet strict deadlines

·         Engineering background is an added advantage
