Accounting Manager

Job Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of “in country” financial administration management of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions, managing a team of professionals, and collaborating with other departments to support the company’s financial goals and objectives. Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Collaborate with other departments to develop annual ‘in-country’, Joint Venture (JV), and corporate budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Manage vendor payments with the Cashier and Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements.
- A Charted Accountant (ICA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum 7 years’ proven experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 2 years in an Oil and Gas managerial role.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including familiarity with industry-specific accounting principles (e.g., full cost, successful efforts).
