JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client in the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking to recruit an Assistant Maintenance Manager who will directly be supervising subordinates and lower level maintenance employees in the factory. This role is responsible for engineering maintenance of premises utilities, plant and machinery and directly reports to the Maintenance Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Plan, coordinate and direct the activities of the maintenance department. Provide leadership to all subordinates
  2. Devise and perform routine PPM to ensure that plant and machinery continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
  3. Ensure SOPs are in place for all activities and that they are relevant, comprehensive and up to date.
  4. Assist in assembling, installing and repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
  5. Assist in repairing and replacing defective equipment part using appropriate tools and equipment. Liaise with external suppliers and contractors where solutions cannot be provided internally.
  6. Assist in maintaining adequate spares and consumables items for plant and machinery. Liaise with suppliers and GM production to ensure that they are sourced on time.
  7. Assist in inspecting drive, motors, belts, fluid levels, replace and perform other maintenance actions, following check list.
  8. Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
  9. Record maintenance and repair work performed and details of the costs.
  10. Assist in maintaining operational efficiency of power generation back up systems. E.g., generators
  11. Train, develop, motivate and appraise staff. Maintain records of training and development.
  12. Coordinates with all Factory departments to execute their duties.
  13. Liaise with external all external suppliers in execution of duties
  14. Responsible for the proper care of all assets and working tools assigned for official work

QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum of HND/Degree in Engineering or Engineering Science.
  • Higher qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience.

Technical Competencies

  • Thorough knowledge of utilities operation and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering and workshop practice. E.g., milling, turning, drilling, cutting, grinding, welding.
  • Good understanding of electrical wiring systems and standards and electronics.
  • Understand engineering design principles and can interpret accurately technical drawings.
  • Understands principles of physics and mathematics and applications of engineering.
  • Computer literate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client in the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking to recruit a Packaging Manager who will be supervising all packaging sections in the factory. This role is responsible for operations and management of whole section and directly reports to the Production Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operational management of assigned pharmaceutical operations in packaging department.
  2. Effectively plan and organize materials required for packaging in conjunction with Packaging Material Store, Logistics, Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments to ensure in-time supply of finished products to FGS.
  3. Report daily, weekly and monthly sectional performance data to production manager for review.
  4. Assist production manager in solving technical issues as and when they arise.
  5. To ensure that products are packed and stored according to the GMP guidelines in order to obtain the required quality and yields.
  6. To approve the instructions relating to packaging operations, including the line-clearance, in-process controls, batch sheet completion and to ensure their strict implementation.
  7. To ensure that the production and packaging records are evaluated and signed by a designated person.
  8. To check the maintenance of the department, premises, and equipment.
  9. To ensure feeding of packaging staff in terms of semi-finished product and packaging materials availability.
  10. To ensure that the appropriate process validations and calibrations of control equipment are performed and recorded and the reports made available.
  11. To ensure that the required initial and continuing training of production personnel is carried out and adapted according to need.
  12. Complete all assigned duties in accordance with policies, guidelines and identifies the opportunities for process improvements.
  13. Supervision and well management of subordinates and lower-level employees.
  14. Coordination with Quality departments and PMS departments for day-to day operation and validation of processes and equipment qualifications as an when required.
  15. To work in close co-ordination with Maintenance Department for implementation of preventive maintenance plan and other day-to-day breakdowns.
  16. Trouble shootings of products and processes in production lines.
  17. To perform all other duties assigned by Production Manager.
  18. To resolve disputes in department with consultation of Production Manager.
  19. He is responsible for all assets belonging to his department

 

QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

Educational Qualification

  • Must be Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Masters of Philosophy in Pharmacy will be preferred.
  • At least must have 5 years of experience in GMP system after pharmacy

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of GMP.
