Who are we looking for?

The Marketing Manger will help define World Shoe’s brand voice and tone.  You will act as a creative force driving to tell our stories through advertising, brand strategy, digital engagement and product presentation.  Using channels ranging from on-line, brick and mortar to social media. The Marketing Manager will connect our storytelling to the hearts and minds of consumers throughout Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies and plans on an annual/seasonal basis in Africa
  • Collaborate with teammates to provide input on creative briefs for seasonal product campaign development
  • Establish understanding of World Shoe with breakthrough communication that elevates the brand and supports the key brand attributes through product marketing communication
  • Partner and manage social media strategies on all key platforms.
  • Ensure optimized product communication for the African consumer for all marketing materials
  • Manage agency relationships and conduct briefings for marketing plan development and execution
  • Plan and execute in-store and/or in-market product marketing events
  • Conduct business analyses and post marketing campaign reviews
  • Provide the African sales teams with best-in-class presentation materials.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, 3 plus years experience marketing in Africa.
  • Experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, clearly communicating findings and implications to drive action.
  • Proven ability to transform a strategy and vision into actionable integrated marketing plans in a rapidly changing, fast-paced organization.
  • Experience with retail and consumer marketing.
  • Experience working with start-ups or small-scale company’s.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize projects.
