Job Purpose

Responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. Also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attending to customers upon entrance to the restaurant
• Presenting menus, serving and helping customers select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/ bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payments

Qualification & Requirements

• Diploma from a recognized institution
• A minimum of 2 years experience in similar role
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Previous waitstaff experience required
• Hands-on experience in cashier duties
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of English language
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
