Our client is a reputable well-established organization in the production, wholesale and retail of fresh produce industry incorporated under the Laws of Ghana. The client is seeking a Sales Lead to assist in building up the business.

Job Purpose:

The responsibilities will include discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals, and meeting customer satisfaction. Below are key responsibilities and expectations of your role:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Work closely with business owners
  • Produce accurate reports and forecasts each month
  • Utilize multiple prospecting strategies to identify prospects and consistently set appointments with qualified potential clients
  • Identify and develop relationships directly with key decision-makers
  • Leverage existing relationships via referrals to generate new prospect opportunities
  • Deliver consistent new meeting activities that meet and exceed quarterly targets
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through on-the-ground prospecting, cold calling, networking, and social media
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their needs and how we can meet those needs
  • Create weekly reviews and reports on leads, prospects, and customers to enable informed decisions
  • Ensure the availability of stock for sales
  • Participate on behalf of the company at exhibitions and other trade events to market our produce
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints and objections
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve better results
  • Gather feedback from customers and prospects to share with internal team members

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any Business related field preferred
  • Experience as a Sales Lead in a similar industry
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, etc., preferred
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
  • Fast learner and passion for sales
  • Great command of both Twi and the English language
  • Ability to identify the highest-potential target markets
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Hungry with a strong self-drive.
