Job description:
The Continuing Airworthiness Officer is responsible for communication between the company’s airworthiness department and the maintenance center. He ensures that the PART-145 has all the data needed to plan and perform the maintenance.
He will be responsible for:
- Editing the maintenance forecast for the PART-145.
- The edition of work orders for the PART-145.
- Ensuring that the contracted PART-145 has the necessary approvals to perform maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring that the PART-145 has acknowledged receipt of the forecast and work orders.
- Verifying that work reports are correctly completed, and that critical work has been checked as well as the vital points.
- Verifying that the Approval to Return to Service (ARS) has been correctly mentioned on the documents.
- Verifying that the pre-flight check has been correctly signed by the crew and that the opened MEL item(s) has(have) been accepted.
- Completes monthly the airframe and engine logbooks of the authority.
- Sending monthly reports to the aircraft owners.
- Control and update of maintenance data.
- Requests for modifications and repairs acceptance.
- Requests for exceptional authorizations.
- Development and update of the Continuing Airworthiness Manual Exposition (CAME).
- Development and update of Maintenance Manuals.
- Notification and analysis of safety events in relation with the Quality Manager.
- Preparing and monitoring requests for renewal of airworthiness documents including the CoA, RL, etc.
- CAM audits/inspections carried out by GCAA as well as closure of findings.
- Classification and registration of a new aircraft.
- Monitoring engines performance in relation to CAMP.
- Follow up authorities and customers audit.
