Job Description.
Our oil and gas industry client is seeking to recruit a Chief Facility Specialist with over 5 years of experience in facility engineering in the oil and gas upstream sector. Who will be responsible for all project design documentation, control construction design activities, and approve the project budget and schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Monitor and control the planning and design of project facilities, including processing facilities, production vessels, pipelines, and other infrastructure.
- Review of the project design documents for the project concerning SPS, SURF, and FPSO equipment.
- Oversee facility design and construction, including project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor selection.
- Ensure that design decisions, technologies, and construction activities adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Determine, and assess the project’s technical risks, and raise the issues to Facility Manager.
- Monitor facilities (FPSO, SURF, SPS, etc.) CAPEX compliance with the project budget and operations parameters compliance with desired performance. Raise the defined issues to the Facility Manager if any.
- Control and check proper Operator and sub-contractors interaction and transparent communication between all parties.
- Review the equipment fabrication and installation reports and prepare review results for the Facilities Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- An Engineering degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the oil and gas upstream industry with a strong background in Facilities Engineering.
- Professional experience in Africa and more precisely West Africa is preferable.
- Deepwater operations experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to support operations activities outside of standard work hours as required.
- High proficiency with IT and industry software including MS Suite.
- Ability to work with busy, multi-disciplinary, and multi-cultural teams.
