Job Description.
An in-house Software Engineering Hub of one of the world’s largest integrated manufacturers of build materials in Africa, Eastern, and the Mediterranean is seeking to recruit a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join our team.
The Candidate should have:
- University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, preferably from a top-tier institution, Master degree is a plus.
- Solid understanding of the heavy building material industry and the business processes underlying related customer-facing digital solutions, and supply chain experience is a plus.
Role Description:
As a key member of the Digital Business & Partnerships department product owner team, you will collaborate closely under the guidance of the Group Product Team. Our mission is critical — to design and develop globally scalable digital products that streamline the entire quote-to-cash journey, addressing our customers’ most significant challenges.
Skills:
- Expertise in product management, including requirements gathering and translating these into viable product solutions, Product management, or product design.
- Gathering requirements across diverse areas and users, and converting and developing them into a product solution
- Creating examples through wireframes and mock-ups.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical setting.
- Working in a technical environment with a broad, cross-functional team.
- Background in developing identity management-focused products. Developing products, technologies, or platforms that employ identity management.
- Competence in analyzing data sets and running product experiments. Analyzing complex, large-scale data sets and making decisions based on data, and running experiments to understand the impact of new product concepts on consumer behavior
- Proven track record in navigating complex stakeholder structures in an international and demanding professional environment.
- Experience in leading teams is a plus.
- Significant experience in a product owner or equivalent product-related role and track record in successfully driving ambitious strategic initiatives in a hands-on, can-do pragmatic manner achieving tangible impact and results.
- Strong business acumen with goal-oriented decision-making abilities. Strong business acumen, tying mindset change to a tangible business outcome, proven ability to employ smart tactics to achieve set targets.
